Player presentations and trophies

 

BBQ for all – Players free on presentation of tokens

(handed out on the day) and small cost for everyone else.

Bar will be OPEN

200 Club Final Draw, Raffle, Fun and Games for all!

We would like as many parents, families and friends as possible to be there to support the children.

Presentation starts at 4.45 pm – 5.00 pm and should finish around 6.00 pm.

Please can you confirm numbers to your team manager so we can make sure we have enough food!

Calling all 13 and 14 years olds !! I`m looking for players who would like to join Witchford Colts Under 15s.

We are looking for experienced players to improve our team. We play in 15C  Cambs and District League. Maybe you are not getting much of a game in your current team or just fancy a change. We are a friendly bunch with a great team spirit. Would consider a 13year old if you are good enough. Email me to arrange a trial.

Your 14th or 15th Birthday must fall between Sept 1st 09 -- Aug 31st 2010 (incl)

The training for the under 8's for the forthcoming season will commence on Monday 3 August 2009 at Witchford Recreation Ground from 5.45pm till 7.15pm. 

All existing and new players are more than welcome.

Well Done Charley-Jade!!

A big well done to Charley-Jade Stevens who has been offered a place by Cambridge United for their centre of excellence.

Its the second successive year that one of my players has been taken by Cambridge United, but this time its for the girls academy.

I have no doubt that Charley-Jade will excell with the Cambridge United girls, as she has all the attributes to go a long way in ladies football.  Hopefully this will give her the added confidence to push on and realise her potential.

Myself and Ian would like to wish Charley-Jade all the best in the future with her footballing progress.

22/04/2009 - U15's Promoted!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to the under 15's for their promotion from Division C up to Division B.

A big well done to all players from everyone at the club for a great season.  Also a big well done to the management team of Martin & Simon who have made it possible.

Hopefully you will be celebrating the promotion as champions.

Witchford Under 12's Girls have made it through to a final.

The Final is being held at Cambridge City FC on the 16th May, KO time is 10am.

This is a great acheivement for the girls, and it would be great to get as many supporters there to cheer them along, in what will be a very hard match against Peterborough.

Its with sadness, but also great pleasure that the under 8’s have to say goodbye to Max Loker.  Max has been offered a contract by Cambridge United to join their elite squad for the under 9’s next season.  Max has been awesome for our under 8 team this season scoring 62 goals for the team.  Max has one of the best attitudes in the team and myself and Ian will be sad to see him go, but also pleased to see him go on to greater things.  I’m very sure the rest of the team also the parents will join me and Ian in wishing Max the best of luck at Cambridge United.  Well done Max.
